Western Canada
While doing a Masters at the University of Calgary from 1994 to 1996, I got the chance to do some sightseeing around Western Canada (BC and Alberta). Here are some of my favorites:

Alberta

Highwood Pass, the highest driveable pass in N. America.

"The Living Wall": funguses and mosses under the ice create this uniquely coloured wall of ice in Johnston Canyon, off the Bow Valley Parkway.

"The Inkpots" on Johnston Canyon walk. The different coloured pools of water gives this area its name.

Off the Bow Valley Parkway.

British Columbia
